We are extending our hours

You may have noticed that we are actively seeking to expand our community of volunteers, particularly those willing to lend an ear during the late hours. This is because our vision is to evolve into a 24-hour support service. We are now poised to take a significant stride towards that goal.

Following a successful summer trial period, we are pleased to say that we have the resources to extend the trial until the end of December 2024. With immediate effect, callers can contact us via our FREEPHONE number, 900 525 100, up to midnight every day. While we are committing to extending our service until the end of the year, we still hope to make it a permanent change for 2025.

Become a Samaritans in Spain volunteer

If you consider yourself a bit of a 'night owl' and are eager to be a part of our expanding community of listeners, we would be delighted to have you join us. Volunteering with us not only allows you to make a difference in the lives of others but also offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and fulfilment. The more resources we can gather, the more confident we can be in our ability to make a lasting change to our service hours.

The first step is to complete our straightforward enquiry form.

I lost my wife in September last year and now live on my own.

I’m 69 yrs old.

I have a back condition that renders me immobile for several days unable to move in bed.

There is no help.

I have not eaten for 3 days but do put bottles of water near my bed that I can reach.

The nights are long and my mental health suffers as I have no one to talk too.

I manage in the day but 3am in the morning is hard as there is no one I can talk too, just to hear a voice.
