Movember madness in Valencia!

Movember, the month formerly known as November, is when brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache, and women step up to support them, all to raise awareness and funds for men's health - specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Wanting to focus on mens' mental health and suicide prevention, Breathe & Box chose to raise awareness and funds for Samaritans in Spain.

Organisers Shane and Ben grew moustaches themselves and encouraged much of the male community of Valencia to do the same. This included the owner of St Patrick's Bar, Valencia who was only to happy to get involved. So much so, that the Movember party and big shave took place in his bar on 1 December.

Live music and a full bar of supporters made for a great evening's entertainment - the perfect example of Irish hospitality. The boys even put a short video of the night together which can be seen here:

All in all they raised an impressive 923.53€ which will be put to very good use providing our FREEPHONE service to those that simply need to talk to someone.

Samaritans in Spain would like to thank Breathe & Box and St Patrick's Bar Valencia for their support.
