So, Sunday 10 October was International Mental Health Awareness Day and Samaritans in Spain could not let that go by without raising our profile with as many English speakers in Spain as possible. It is so important to us that people know how to access our service and feel empowered to do so. We truly believe that 'Together we are Stronger'

To mark the day we held a couple of high profile events; a Sound of the 60s evening in Mazarron, and a Tapas Trail in Orihuela. Alongside this we also had a 'meet & greet' outside a few of The Food Co stores. Finally, we encouraged people to show their support by sharing our posts on social media. We are very pleased to say that we were overwhelmed by the response we received - reaching thousands of people with our message and securing donations of around 1800€

Samaritans in Spain would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved and showed their support in some way.

We think that this is the start of something big... watch this space for next year's activities!
