The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has set up a project to support UK nationals and their family members who are having difficulty obtaining a residency permit.
The IOM aims to provide assistance to all beneficiaries who contact them, but the 'accompanying' service will be limited to the following geographical areas:
- Madrid
- Andalusia (particularly Malaga)
- Murcia
For those eligible, assistance offered includes legal advice, information provision and if considered necessary, accompaniment. The IOM are looking to assist as many British nationals as possible that find themselves dealing with any of the following:
- Health problems
- Linguistic barriers
- Technological barriers
- Living in remote areas
- Homelessness
